| My dad and I just returned from [the] ranch, and it was an awesome experience. [The] ranch is full of animal's. There were animal's around almost every corner. Between the two of us we saw plenty of axis deer-bucks and doe's, blackbuck, huge sika, whitetail, huge spanish goats, and one small fallow buck. After the hunt [he] said the animals were coming in slow all weekend! I can't wait to go on a good weekend! I took an axis doe and my dad took the small fallow buck. Both of these deer were our first exotics. The place is nice with oak trees and some cedar. [He] has the place well fed with lots of corn. We hunted from box blinds and tripods in the evening and spot and stalk on the morning hunts. On this hunt both animals were taken on stalks. The accomadations is a typical hunters cabin, but the cabin is nicer than some of the houses I have lived in. It is not a big luxurious lodge, but simple and sufficient. Everything [he] posted about the place is all true and then some. My dad and I haven't had this much fun on a hunt in a long time. [He] is a great guy as a host, and a guide he really knows his stuff. If your looking for a great relaxed hunt I recommend you look in to this place. Lodging is included in the cost of the hunt.
Non-hunting guests are welcome for $50 / day.
All beds have clean sheets, pillows and blankets.
You are welcome to bring your own food, or meals (breakfast lunch and dinner) will be provided for $35 extra per hunter per day.
Accommodations
Fully-furnished cabin with eight (8) beds. Amenities include Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, Pool Table, Showers and Large Patio with BBQ grill.

A few weeks ago I & my son Steve were invited to the Smart Ranch to meet [the owner] and tour his exotic hunt setup. Friday Steve and I made the visit. The ranch is beautiful and deer sign everywhere. With recent rains, the tracks were very visable and there are is no mistake, he has animals and we could not take a step without seeing a fresh deer track. Friday afternoon we sat in a couple of his setups, but that is when the weather turned ugly. High winds and misty rain. I had a couple deer come in, and some hogs. The hogs busted the deer and then busted me, course I hate hogs and mama sensed that and all I seen were hog butts. LOL. Back to the house for BBQ. And after I ate I went out on the patio with a flashlight. just to look, and not 40 yards from me were axis and whitetail. Went back inside, called Dave and Steve, and we spotted a good axis buck with some does.
Sat AM we again sat in the setups, but the wind had not let up all night and then the rain came. [He]picked us up about 9 AM and we did not travel far when Steve pointed out a herd of Axis deer. There must have been 40-50 axis that had been hunkered down in a grove of trees because of the weather. We had great fellowship, great time viewing the exotics (gotta have one), good food, met great people, [he] & Jennifer, and made some friends. I also learned alot about exotics, especially axis.
