FAQ's
Is the Smart Ranch really the oldest bowhunting ranch? Yes. The Smart Ranch, established in 1899, is the oldest bowhunting ranch in the country.
Are there any hidden fees? No. $595 for one (1) buck and one (1) doe. Lodging is included!
Can I shoot extra animals? Additional opportunities can be purchased prior to your hunt for $125 per doe, and $195 per buck.
Is the bunkhouse REALLY haunted? Yes, but it is just a ghost and cannot hurt you!
Will you clean our deer? Yes. $35 apiece.
Meals? Bring your own, or meals provided for $35 per day, per hunter.
What kind of animals can I expect to see? We are loaded with Axis and whitetail. We also have Mouflon and Hawaiian Sheep, Sika deer, Blackbuck Antelopes, Fallow deer, Aoudad and Spanish Goats.
How many acres is the Smart Ranch? The Smart Ranch is approximately 1,500 acres. 800 of which is currently under an upper-end management program and will not be hunted for another year. We are currently hunting 640 acres that is high-fenced on 2 sides.

Do you require a deposit? A deposit of $200 is required within 7 days of verbal confirmation. This covers your entire crew!
Can I use mechanical broadheads? Yes.
Will you provide transportation from the San Antonio airport? Yes, for $75.
